nope not needed, my ps3 is doing just fine and it looks like and plays like it was just out of the box and it'll reach the young age of 2 this december.

what a weak defense, that was last gen, and the graphics didn't take up as much space on dvd as it does this gen, which causes problems, limits the game to what it CAN be this gen, and if its a PS3 exclusive it can fully utilize 50gb blu ray disk
